Paris in London – Virtual Window at Dior New Bond Street
About a year ago, we were contacted by Visual Artist Yorame Mevorach, a.k.a. “Oyoram”, with the request to visualize a romanticized environment, featuring the city of Paris in the distance. The concept was to create a 3D landscape of the river La Seine, leading to the city of Paris. But instead of the actual suburbs surrounding the city, we were asked to make the foreground more green and natural, with blooming flowers to boost the romantic feeling of the image. The goal was achieving a sense of looking through a window to Paris in a parallel world. The iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower, the bridges and the Sacré-Cœur Basilica would make the city in the distance easily recognizable, but as we approach to the foreground, the landscape would transform into a beautiful, natural environment.
The render is displayed on several full-HD screens around the stairway of Dior’s new flagship store in London’s New Bond Street. The screens on the wall create the illusion of a virtual window, where you can stand in the heart of London, looking out of the “window” at the city of Paris in the distance. This concept was invented by Yorame himself.
