As we were establishing the platform for our Training Center, we were happy and honored to welcome several experienced Instructors in our Team. As the launch date is drawing closer, and the first courses are coming in, we would like to introduce these amazing mentors in a weekly podcast series. Each week, we will showcase an Instructor in a podcast interview, where they share their background, sources of inspiration, information on their upcoming courses, tips & tricks and future plans as well.
The first podcast is dedicated to Samuel Howard, who has recently joined us as our Supervising Instructor. Sam is "a 17-year veteran in the video game industry", who has gained invaluable experience working for several companies, including Microsoft and Sony. Currently, he works as the Lead Character Artist and Animator at TACKOM - a game company dedicated to making high-quality tactical military games. As a former Digital Tutor, Sam also has years of experience in mentoring aspiring artists and professionals as well.
Sam's course "Rigging and Animating in Biped" is among the first courses that become accessible soon at our Training Center. He is also working on the content of his next course, which will focus on rigging and animating in Maya.
"If Biped is kind of the mystery child to you, this course is going to get you started really quickly. By the time that you're done with it, you'll pretty much know everything to know about Biped. I'll give you real-world information, based on things I've actually had to do. I'm also going to talk about some of the pitfalls, and how to avoid them."
